When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.

Named GP

All patients at Highgate Medical Centre have a named, accountable doctor who is responsible for coordinating their care.

Your named doctor will be allocated to you by the practice. You can still talk to or make appointments to see any of our doctors or nurses, not just your named GP.

If you have a preference and would like to request a particular doctor at the practice to be your named GP please talk to one of our receptionists.

Named Accountable GP and Continuity of Care

For official NHS purposes, all patients registered at this practice are allocated a Named Accountable GP.

At Highgate Medical Centre, your Named Accountable GP is: Dr M K Lakhani.

Highgate Medical Centre operates as a partnership under M K Lakhani & Partners.

In addition to your Named GP, you will also have a Usual GP or Nurse whom you may see regularly. This clinician helps provide ongoing care, consistency, and a personalised approach to your health needs.

If you would like to know who your Usual GP or Nurse is, please speak to Lisa Ruck or a member of the reception team.
